Christoph & others,

Sorry for not contacting you, or the list members interested earlier, but I
have not been following the qcdev list assiduously, due to other pressing
matters.

It would seem that others have answered your enquiry pretty well all told
though. Thanks to those of you that took the time to respond so informatively
about the matter raised.

What might help is to advise that my intent in some examples was to provide the
QC 3 & the QC 2 versions within the same file.

A QC2 only version would also be available usually , for instance, see
http://cybero.co.uk/QuartzComposer/QuartzComposerJavaScriptGuide-Eng/objects/Inst/dowhile/dowhile.html.

In this instance, the QC2 version is the translated sample from openspc.org,
[represented with permission] which file was then updated to have a QC 3
version included - dowhilealt.qtz. The do ... while example typifies this
approach. There is a slight lack of consistency though, as some examples are
only available as QC3 files, due to there never having been a QC2 version to
begin with.

Perhaps I ought to explain that a little clearer on my site.

QC2 versions - translated into English from the openspc examples.

QC3 versions - usually including for reasons of comparison, the translated QC2
version on the same Editor stage.

Exceptions to this way of referencing and working only if there was no QC 2
version to begin with.

Hope that clarifies.
