Hi Rick, once we tried this with the public Static Map API by Google:
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/staticmaps/ You can use an image loader patch and feed in the URL for a static map. It is also possible to have some pins and other overlay stuff. You can define the pixel dimensions of the image (limited to 640x640 pixels). Google takes care for the correct layout, so that every item you specified will be visible. The downside is that you don't get the long/lat rectangle for the image, so you can't do your own overlays afterwards. best, Achim Breidenbach Boinx Software On 21.02.2011, at 23:10, Rick Mann wrote: > Does anyone have a patch for drawing a map (maybe a Google map) with overlays? > > -- > Rick > > _______________________________________________ > Do not post admin requests to the list.
