Yes I was going to recommend generating your structures outside
iterators (in JS or Structure maker patches) and then pass the whole
lot to Kineme Structure Renderer patch, even though it's a less
flexible/open-ended patching paradigm it's often cheaper in fps.

I seem to remember something about decrementing iteration count...
It seems like in my composition I was able to set it up to stop
evaluation or use sample and hold or a queue at some point, to go
"under count", and then "back up"... Apologies if all that's totally
n/a, but I know that moving to lion or leopard may be totally
untenable for many qc projects, so it may be worth fiddling with.
If you're just using it to render at different positions, you may
wish to look at the gl tools structure render environment. I'd also
suggest looking at ni's iterator and iterator vars patches, which
work in 10.6, but can't be nested afaik.

I don't see the problem, nor any "stealing".
Top row counts from 1 to 10 (showing n+1 instances where n is
counter index)

10.6 has a bug when nested iterators don't quite do the right thing
when the number of iterations changes. By running on 10.5, you
won't see the bug. It should be fixed in 10.7.
