The User location library will be hidden in Lion. If you have stuff there from the migration, hold down option while looking at the "go" menu in finder. If you already found this, sorry.
The main things you will probably want to look for are the old version of gl tools it sounds like was installed, to replace with a newer version of gl tools and the alpha blend plugin. There are various outdated kineme patches that have been subsumed by newer patches; you might want to look out for any of those scenarios. Another thing that comes to mind is that the v002 optical flow that was made around leopard era has an issue being placed inside of a render in image patch, but was updated. Other patch issues you may run into might revolve around the fact that the default runtime is 64 bit, but many leopard era "developer example" plugins may have originally had a tendency to be compiled only 32 bit. Particle Tools is another popular plugin that fundamentally only works with all function in 32 bit. You can "workaround" that by finding the icon in finder, doing a "get info" and checking off the 32 bit runtime option, if need be. It's been awhile since I checked, but I think if you move stuff in your User folder around you shouldn't get any authentication prompts. If you move stuff around in your /Library, you will. You can probably do a quick google to find the terminal command to change permissions, but I think that anything that is running in your user domain may be able to act like an admin without giving you prompt with greater ease. Once your install is sorted out it probably won't seem like as much of a pain :-) On May 10, 2012, at 9:25 PM, Alastair Leith <qc.student...@gmail.com> wrote: > Yes Archim I have a dirty old Leopard instal in there via Migration > Assistant.
