Hi Jim, are you talking about publishing an input for your composition like the x/y parameter of the filter protocoll?
First make sure you are in the root node of your composition. Then you can right-click on a patch to get a context menu. Here you see the "Publish input > " menu item with a sub menu of all the input values for this patch. If you select on of those you are asked to enter a name for this specific value. Command-3 reveals a list of all published inputs and outputs for this composition. The key names can be changed here as well. My experience is that you should not publish input values of patches directly, but put a Input Splitter patch before it (can also archived with the context menu for the patch in question). This gives you the opportunity to tweak the value range a certain value could have. I hope this is the info you are looking for. best, Achim Breidenbach Boinx Software Ltd.
