I would guess that QC may need to be run in 32 bit mode to access the pro res 
codec, but I'm unsure. I do know that the movie player does work though I 
haven't checked prores lately.

Also, there are two variants of the kineme movie player; the one that uses 
ffmpeg lib and has no pro res support, and one that uses QuickTime and does if 
the codec is present.
