Hi List, I am using QC to produce an image that is shown through a projector. Right now I have a fairly basic projector with a native resolution of 1024x768. When the QC composition is fairly simple, I have no problems. But when I use a more complex composition, it appears to lag on the projector output. If I exit fullscreen, it runs slightly faster (still on the projector display). When I bring the viewer window back to my desktop display, it runs without any lag.
The particular composition I am working with at the moment runs on my desktop display at roughly 60-70 fps. On the projector display in fullscreen, it runs between 10 and 15 fps. What are the possible reasons for this? I have looked online for information on how to keep QC compositions simple and efficient, hoping this would allow them to run more smoothly. However, I have not been able to find much information. For example, will a composition's performance be greatly affected by having excess audio/video inputs? Are there any general guidelines for maintaining the overall performance of a composition through more efficient design? Thanks! Josh
