Yes, AudioTools is now working for me. I assumed that I would need to install it in the "Plug-Ins" folder, which I have done successfully for all other plug-ins. Now that it is placed in the Patches folder (which I thought I had tried, but obviously not), all is well. What is the distinction between the "Patches" and "Plug-Ins" folders? The particle system that consistently slows my machine is the motion detect sample file from 1024 particle warfare. When I simplify the particle system (lowering particles and reducing trail lengths), performance improves, but still shows signs of lag. Thanks again for all of the advice!
