Honestly, I don’t see open source QC would help. The fact is, since there are 
no development on QC for years now, the whole app is out of ages. It still 
using legacy OpenGL, Quicktime, and probably other deprecated technologies, so 
for future works it really needs a complete rewrite. And since it needs a 
complete rewrite that means a new software. Somehow I still hope the reply Jim 
received means they don’t care the current version, because they working on a 
new - or something like that. We will see.
