Try dragging your watermark pic onto the composition instead of using the image importer....this creates an Image patch, and will embed your watermark in the composition instead of referencing it from an external path.
Also - you can find a valid file path for the Image Importer by dragging the image in question into it's Image Location parameter....it may just be that it's fiddly in a filter protocol.
