The 3.2rc1 announcement with its news about USB passthrough--and the persistent problem of securely using USB peripherals--got me thinking that sanitizing a webcam video stream is not far-fetched today. PCs can encode video in real time, even without GPU help, so re-creating a stream as 'trusted' should be possible. Then you would not have to risk your videoconferencing credentials or the security of the other systems participating in the conferences.
