I reported on twitter that my Thinkpad x230 with a recent build of coreboot (from git head) appears to support DMAR and the IOMMU is configured with Qubes 3.1. Unlike Lovecroft's report on issue 1594, my system boots reliably, although I posted the to the coreboot list regarding a video glitch during bootup:
