PSA: It is a good idea to use https for repos, thus providing an additional layer of security over the more casual level MITM's and also making it so that people can't easily see what packages you are downloading.

Debian devs seriously fucked up for not actually verifying that their core security does what it says on the tin on every new update...that plus forcing systemd/potteringware on people is why I no longer use debian.
