Hello. I've asked in qubes-users, but those details should be most well understanded by developers than users, so ask here:
AFAIR, when App VM is started some image files are made. Are these files are made in /var/lib/qubes/appvms or also in /var/lib/qubes/vm-templates ? Is there an option to tune where the temp images are created when an AppVM or TemplateVM is executed? I've two terabyte drives in my laptop - ssd and hdd and want to make most writes to go on hdd and most reads from ssd. If I'll use separate mount point on ssd for /var/lib/qubes/vm-templates - would it give me any perfomance improvement? Yes, I understand this won't turn off writes to ssd when template VM is upgraded. Yes, I could use a file system like btrfs, but I prefer to use ext3 or ext4, as stable enough and manage write/read by hands (i.e. by mount point separation), not by file system extra intellect. -- Bye.Olli. gpg --search-keys grey_olli , use key w/ fingerprint below: Key fingerprint = 9901 6808 768C 8B89 544C 9BE0 49F9 5A46 2B98 147E Blog keys (the blog is mostly in Russian): http://grey-olli.livejournal.com/tag/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-devel" group.
