Just to clarify so you are talking 100 megabits which is like 10 megabytes, 
roughly. 

I don't think many people are using their qubes machine as a vm lan lab.  I'm 
not sure devs had that in mind.  That being said are you really using up 
100mbits all the time?

On my machine using a full speed all the time my cpu becomes the bottleneck 
more then anything...
