This is a regression coming with Qubes 3.2 since it was working nicely on Qubes R2: when switching a video to "full screen" it occupied the whole surface of the corresponding window (without resizing it automatically) and the window could then be freely manually resized at will (including making it full-screen: right-click on the window title > `Full Screen').

I found this to be a really nice feature since it was an easy way to get rid of any distracting web or Youtube interface and have a window showing just the video content while still having the possibility to have other windows around (like a text editor to take or check notes while watching the video).
