So i got the system running again. man was I scared. reinstalling grub didn't help. but What I did was boot the qubes installation iso and chose troubleshooting. Then booted into recovery mode prompt. Then did chroot /mnt/sysimage then did fsck -y /dev/mapper/dom0_root It went through pages of errors it said it fixed. then I rebooted and qubes started with no issues. I believe the issue was caused by suspending for too long. In 3.1 I would get freezes sometimes if I woke from the power button instead of the kb, after a long suspend. But I don't remember having a suspend issue in 3.2 or for many months. This time i forgot it was sleeped and woke it with power button again, after almost 6 hours suspend. Hopefully my system is ok now.
