Hello, for the first time I am trying this new feature of Qubes 3.2 with the idea of using attaching a scanner to a scannerVM.
Fist installed qubes-usb-proxy and simple-scan in the template from which both sys-usb and scannerVM depend. Then connected the usb cable and the scanner appeared in sys-usb terminal: user@sys-usb:~$ lsusb Bus 003 Device 005: ID 04a9:190f Canon, Inc. but it does not show in dom0 with qvm-usb as taught at the end of this document: https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/usb/ In fact only the webcam appears there. So which is the difference between webcam and scanner? Perhaps that the webcam was already installed at boot, while the scanner was connected after? But from a security point of view is it advisable to boot with the scanner already connected?
