Installation went ok; desktop was running smooth. After restart I noticed that the mouse and dragging windows around was very choppy; was software rendering occuring? If it also helps: 1. i915.preliminary_hw_support=1 2. lsmod | grep "i915" gives me: i915 1208320 0 i2c_algo_bit 16384 1 i915 drm_kms_helper 126976 1 i915 drm 335872 2 i915,drm_kms_helper video 40960 1 i915 Switching the kernel back to 4.1.* also does not seem to alleviate the issue.
