Hi Franz, Yes I saw that link earlier but didn't understand it.
The link states ". . . Simply insert your USB drive, right-click on the desired qube in the Qubes VM Manager list, click *Attach/detach block devices*, and select your desired action and device." That is what I always did on my old Qubes 2 system and it worked. It worked on my new Qubes 3.2 system until I updated it. After updating, the "Attach / Detach block devices" was "greyed out" which prevented me from selecting it. I suspect this is a simple fix that I overlooked but I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
