I found that right clicking on the desktop produced a menu with the item Applications. This has a menu item System Tools. The included item here is Appearance. The tab in Appearance is Fonts. This is where it gets fun. The Default font changes the fonts right on the app so it has instant feedback. At the bottom of this Appearance window is a Custom DPI setting. Luckily, I had a terminal open. Where I really had a challenge with font size is in the terminal. By increasing the DPI, the terminal fonts grew. They grew so fast that all the fonts went off the page. I just hit the Enter/Return key and it was aligned again. I increased the DPI to 164 and the terminal was just what I needed.
I hope this helps others. I sure it will help me the next time I reload the system and have forgotten what to do.
