I use an nvidia 650 ti with Qubes and never had issues. Its better then the intel integrated on another newer board I use. Meaning desktop effects and smoother performance and colors look better. But thats all subjective I guess. I suggested getting a board with intel integrated because there is indeed less chance for incompatibility. A good rule of thumb, in general, is if its newer then 2 years there is a chance for problems with linux, no matter the hardware. Most drivers are made for windows first. And linux lags slowly behind with support. Especially with hardware that is not very popular. I wonder if mining would be worth it on Qubes since it would eat resources that could be otherwise allocated. I also wouldn't use my Qubes machine as a server or for gaming, I consider these also defeating the purpose of security.
