It should work just fine in Qubes 4 from the GUI VM-Settings, so it shouldn't mean you need to do anything overly complicated. However, as memory serves, back in Qubes 3.2. you could resize VM's while the VM was running. This is no longer the case in Qubes 4 where you need to shut it down first before you can change it.
