Hi, Did you copy the file from your usb vm to the vault vm? In qubes there's a special way to copy files from one vm to another (the vms are kept separate for security reasons). Open the file manager in your usb vm, right click on the database file, and select copy to another vm, and put in the name of the vm you want to copy it to. Once the file's been copied it'll be in the QubesIncoming folder in the destination vm's home folder.
