I have a 1080 Ti in one of my Qubes boxes and haven't had any trouble with the out-of-the-box install with 4.0.1-rc2. This box is dual boot to Win10 when I want to play games (it was a gaming rig before it was a Qubes box). May I ask what you need to do that requires the Nividia driver?
