Did I do something wrong here? - - disable Thunderbolt in BIOS > (Hence, you will loose the USB-C connector) At least on a P52 you are losing more than that; it confuses the hell out of the GPUs if you turn off Thunderbolt and connect a monitor to the USB-C port.
