most of the time, the usb icon on the top right seems kinda useless. it will tell you whats available sometimes soon after the system booted. past that, you have to use qvm-usb and qvm-block on the command line for all that. ive tried rebooting sys-usb, but that doesnt help. rebooting the laptop does work, at least at first.
even the update notification only occasionally pops up something about a template that needs updating, but its always false when i check. ive given up on that notification. now i just use a script with qvm-run to update all templates at once. this seems to be more of a qubes 4.0 thing, dont remember these issues in qubes 3, but maybe i didnt notice. the update notification in qubes 3.x also always seemed to work. does everyone else just use the command line and never notice? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group.
