I have been trying to install qubes on my laptop for a day now. Everytime it
happens to stop while installing qubes-mgmt-salt-dom0-update.noarch (828/1041)
I have tried to install it in both UEFI and Legacy modes.
Try the suggestions towards the bottom of

especially acpi=off.
