I am not sure about the level of support of virtual keyboards.

If you install the keyboard in dom0, it can either:

a. work as a stupid keyboard on screen – shown all the time unless you manually 
hide it and regardless the content under the keyboard
b. work as a smart keyboard on screen (shown if and only if there is a place to 
type in and regarding the application) like on Android. This would be limited 
for dom0 apps, as dom0 has no information about the text fields in AppVMs.

In AppVM, it could work well and smart, at least in theory. But it would be 
limited to the AppVM, for obvious reason.
