I had a few changes and it looks like the issue has gone now. The changes were: 1. Linux v4.19 vs v5.4 2. A new roadrunner2/macbook12-spi-driver: ddfbc7733542b8474a0e8f593aba91e06542be4f vs. 31cc060adcb431efdf9cf547d600bb45bb00a7f4 3. Updated these packages: xen-hvm-stubdom-linux-1.0.13-1.fc31.x86_64.rpm xen-hvm-stubdom-legacy-4.12.1-3.fc31.x86_64.rpm qubes-core-dom0-4.1.8-1.fc31.x86_64.rpm qubes-core-dom0-linux-4.1.3-1.fc31.x86_64.rpm qubes-core-dom0-linux-kernel-install-4.1.3-1.fc31.x86_64.rpm I am inclined to believe the buggy version (31cc060ad...) roadrunner2/macbook12-spi-driver was the culprit.
