Is it possible to connect a USB device like a flash drive or CD-ROM drive to a Win10 HVM in Qubes OS 4.0.3 and if so how ?
When I plug a USB CD-ROM drive into the pc with Qubes OS 4.0.3 installed, I can see it appear as two devices under "Qubes Devices" (the device icon in the notification area). The first one appears as "sys-usb : Mass_Storage_Device" and the second one appears as "sys-usb:2-8 - USB2.0_External_Mass_Storage_Device_[NUMBER]". I have tried to connect both to a Win10 HVM - one at a time. None of them show up under "This pc" or in Windows file manager. Then I tried to connect both to my work-domain. I was only able to connect to the second one, and was able to see all the files on the device. So at least that seems to work. I have then tried to copy a folder from the device by using secure copy and paste, and paste it into the Win10 HVM. Although Qubes OS said that the folder was copied, I couldn't paste it into the Win10 HVM. So therefore my question is: Is it possible to connect a USB device like a flash drive or CD-ROM drive to a Win10 HVM and if so how ? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group.
