Hello,

I recently started testing Qubes 4.1, and am really hoping to get some help
understanding why audio played in any AppVMs only works when I login to XFCE.
I have been using my own version of DWM, and for some reason, audio controls
for AppVM's don't show up in pavucontrol. When I login to XFCE, I figure
something must be going on that I'm not aware of when configuring my dwm
autostart.

Currently, when starting DWM, I only launch the the
/etc/xdg/autostart/*.desktop files.

I did not have this problem in Qubes 4.0, and reading [this
documentation](https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/audio-virtualization/#pacat-simple-vchan),
says the protocol is different. This is where I run into a dead end, however,
since I do not really have a great understanding of sockets or qrexec services.

I understand this software is still in development, so please refrain from
telling me to downgrade back to 4.0. I'm using Qubes for the security, but
more importantly, I'm interested in learning about the OS, so using a
non-production version of the software is something I'm okay with.

Thanks, let me know if I can provide any more info
