GPT is part of the UEFI standard, but can be used with legacy BIOS.
Coreboot, UEFI, and legacy BIOS are not clearly related to partition
tables, which is what MBR and GPT are.
Both are fine in the context of Qubes.
Stock templates are built using gpt.
