i did an in-place upgrade from 4.2 yesterday. after stage 3 and reboot, the
qubesd.service would not start, so i was left with a mainly dysfunctional
system, but still had a dom0 terminal. by looking at journalctl, i tracked the
error down to an LVM problem. solution:

sudo lvchange -an qubes_dom0/vm-pool
sudo lvconvert --repair qubes_dom0/vm-pool

then reboot and continue with the remaining stages, that is:

sudo qubes-dist-upgrade --all-post-reboot --releasever=4.3

and reboot. now everything seems fine, and also faster than before. in
particular the USB keyboard appears to have less latency upon keypress.

thank you for providing Qubes OS!
