The ampersand character is not defined as a valid boolean character for
Lucene
Search. Please see Section 41.4.9 of
http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.search.lucene.query-language.html
Note that "&&" (double ampersand) is a valid replacement for "AND". See
section
41.4.9.4 of the above web document.
