New issue 1693 by epmclellan: Can't edit contact area

To reproduce this error:

1)Go to ISDIAH edit screen
2)Click pencil icon to edit contact
Resulting error:
================
See attached stack trace. Unfortunately, this error is not entirely
consistent and I can't figure out why I can edit some contacts and not
others.
