To reproduce this error:

1)In ISAAR edit screen, create a relationship with one or both date fields
blank
2)Save the record
Resulting error:

Blank dates appear as 2010-10-18 in ISAAR object and in related objects, eg
related resources
Expected result:
================
Date fields should remain blank. May be related to issue 1775.
