To reproduce this error:

1)Import the attached "telelearning.ead.xml" EAD file
2)Navigate to "Subseries 4 - Annual General Meeting records"
Resulting error:

Reference code should inherit codes from higher level descriptions (see
ica-atom.org-demo-refcode-inherit.png)
Expected result:
================
Reference code is not inheriting (see ica-atom-trunk-refcode-inherit.png)
Note: Marked Critical because this worked properly in Release 1.1.
