Comment #1 on issue 2107 by [email protected]: File list report
http://code.google.com/p/qubit-toolkit/issues/detail?id=2107
Additional requirements from CVA:
Printed file lists should have context information present in the page
header (fonds/sousfonds/series, etc)
ideally, printed reports should also have page counts (page x of y;) and/or
row counts (files n-m of z) so the reader knows their relative position in
the list
2.1. Basic (title, date, access restrictions, retrieval information)
2.1.1. sorted by title
2.1.2. sorted by date
2.1.3. sorted by physical ordering (i.e., location or container info)
2.1.4. sorted by reference code
2.2. Verbose (all descriptive file info)
As per the basic options
This sounds cumbersome, but in practice, few files have much description
beyond title and date; a few have extents and/or scope and content notes,
still fewer have other RAD notes. Experience suggests however that when
additional information is present in file descriptions, it tends to be
useful information that is desirable to see when browsing file lists. Note
also that the verbose version should be limited to descriptive information
(i.e., RAD notes), and not include administrative info.
2.3. Internal
As per the basic and verbose versions listed above, but with the additional
ability to group by archival context, and then apply the applicable sort
within the group.
