Is this related in any way to the work that MJ did for AAO when he created
a static Google Maps API integration with ICA-AtoM for the "View Term"
template (only for logged-in users)? See:

1) The lack of zoom/dynamic capabilities on the existing feature raises
questions of usability and relevance.
2) The inability of public users to view the google map when browsing or
searching places raises questions of the usability and relevance of this
feature. It would be great if public users could see relationships between
terms in the places taxonomy.
3) MJ mentioned something about Elastic Search and this map/gps feature in
future ICA-AtoM releases. How will this work?
