Hello,
why the offest result from ntpq -p command is sometimes different from
ntptrace?
They are supposed to give the same result for the server you are
currently synchronising with, arent they?
For example:
ntptrace
localhost: stratum 2, offset -0.000204, root distance 0.096420
Time1.Stupi.SE: stratum 1, offset 0.000002, root distance 0.000000,
refid 'PPS'
So i think that my client has an offset of -0.000204s with the server
Time1.Stupi.SE which has an offset of 0.000002s from its reference
clock.
But, when i do:
ntpq -p:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ntp]# ntpq -p
remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset
jitter

+mail01.tjgroup. 192.43.244.18 2 u 24 32 377 104.324 9.214
45.643
I see that my client has an offset of 1.425ms... so what is the correct
offset???
Where can i see the difference between my client and the reference
clock (root)?
Thank you
