Hello,

I am new to this technology and having a question that may be already
discussed here.

I installed
http://www.meinberg.de/download/ntp/windows/archives/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
-win32-setup.exe client on ~40 Windows XP SP2 machines and I am getting
offset accuracy about 10-20 time worse then on the UNIX or Linux
machines.
Here's the results:

Client Type Core Linux Core Solaris Apps (Linux) Windows
(full sample) Windows (suspicious clients removed)
Number of Clients 24 28 15 43 36
Average Offset (ms) 0.026 -0.019 0.018 3.870 0.422
Median Offset (ms) 0.006 -0.002 0.008 0.449 0.238
Standard Deviation (ms) 0.300 0.633 0.256 19.576 6.290

Does anyone have an experience running NTP v4.2.0 client on Windows and
what time accuracy should I expect?
Are there any methods to tune up this client?
Are there known list of the Windows applications that may negatively
contribute to the time synchronization?

I would appreciate any information, suggestions, links or references
regarding this meter.

Thanks,

Ilya Mayzel
