Canada's CRTC frequency allocation chart fails to indicate (59, 61) and 60 kHz for WWVB allocation... Nor does it set aside 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20 MHz for WWV / WWVH. -- I don't expect WWV 25 MHz to make it into Western Canada. -- US FCC frequency charts should set aside CHU's frequencies as time service allocations, as they are important for the Eastern US.
Technically Canada is free to use 59 and 61 kHz for time services, as the US has already 'freed up' that bandspace. Western Canada could do with a WWVB like service -- but with a 1 kHz bandwidth and higher data rate. _______________________________________________ questions mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ntp.isc.org/mailman/listinfo/questions
