Can someone tell us what in ntpdate is broken. And since 'ntpdate <server>' seems to do exactly the same thing as 'sntp -r <server>', why is the latter not broken ? I'm sure there are tons of configurations out there that use ntpdate. Rather than deprecating it and making people replace it with 'sntp -r <server>', it might be better to just fix what's broken in ntpdate. Another option is to make 'ntpdate' a hardlink or symbolic link to 'sntp' and the latter can mimic 'ntpdate' behavior when it realizes it is being called with the name 'ntpdate'. - Mohit _______________________________________________ questions mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ntp.org/mailman/listinfo/questions
