Thanks, Martin.

The NTP I have running, and which has been working fine since it was
installed, is 4.2.0-a. There is no "tai=" value reported, so I guess it's
just too old. As I have no knowledge of "crypto", nor do I have a more
recent version of NTP for FreeBSD 5.4, nor do I know whether the current
development version works on FreeBSD 5.4, nor do I wish to try a
development rather than a stable release on that system, I suspect I will
just leave it as it is, and moan (to myself) on Thursday, Jan 01!

BTW: that box is a Pentium 133 with 48MB of memory. Recompiling the OS is
an overnight job....

Danke,
David
