I should have said this previously, I have no real clue exactly what I am doing, and I kludged this together from information I found on the internet.
I originally didn't install the ATOM/PPS driver. However when I looked, I wasn't getting a PPS line ntpq. Maybe that is ok, but I assumed that meant it wasn't seeing the PPS and thus installed the other driver. You suggest that I get rid of the PPS driver, and just use the NMEA driver. Perhaps I didn't have a properly configured ntp.conf. So if I go with your suggestion the appropriate NTP.conf would look like this? server 127.127.1.0 fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 5 server 127.127.20.1 minpoll 4 prefer # NMEA serial port fudge 127.127.20.1 refid gps stratum 1 How can you tell when ntpd is receiving the PPS signal or not? Thank you for your assistance in allowing me to muddle through this. _______________________________________________ questions mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ntp.org/listinfo/questions
