I do not know if shmpps works out the box on Freebsd, but it should not
be hard to adapt, assuming bsd supports the shm refclock driver.
Tarball has a message "Linux-specific".
On NetBSD it fails to compile but I might have a venture
into the unknown by comparison with similar programs that
do compile (to correctly functioning executables).
