Check the difference in performance, particularly the jitter and offset values:

The DCFa is almost certainly using the 100/200 ms second ticks only, while the DCFp unit is tracking the pseudo-random spread spectrum modulation of the carrier beam, allowing low-us tracking of the time signal.
