Good question, but, no. System is set never to sleep, never to
standby, never to shut down hard drive, and hibernate only if on
battery with critical low battery.

PS, I think two different people replied to this same message. I (Ron)
am the one with the Windows system and USB GPS with occasionally crazy
offsets. AC was commenting about a Sparc IPX system and NTPD sync
problems, as far as I know.
