Hi,
I am an NTP newbie but have been asked to debug a problem in our system. Our
software uses the output of the ntpd -c "rv assid" 127.0.0.1 to determine if
the NTP server is reachable and if it is synced or not by inspecting the
filtoffset line.
On some machines this command takes up to 3 minutes. What is the reason it
takes so long? Can anything be done do shorten this or is this normal behaviour?
